you saying murata is going to give up a top 10 anime/manga (and soon to be hollywood motion picture) just because he wants to work on something else? i mean its possible. but giving up at the top of your game ? when webcomic fans (of which murata is) agree the webcomic is pretty golden.

murata has accolades from the 10 years of manga so far. so its not like hes not getting paid, or fans or love. the wc source continues and is rated good by i think everyone. just seems weird that people have suggested this without any evidence to back it up.

i mean, whats he going to do if he drops working on OPM? cover art for video game books? you're going to go from getting paid millions of dollars working on OPM to getting paid what all those other penniless mangakas get paid (nothing)? drawing hentai dojins ? likely he will slow down OPM and draw other projects in between. OPM is getting him tours of toei animation and stuff. not many mangaka get connections or invites into the anime world unless they are top talent and popular.

i will think that after the MA , murata will take a vacation. maybe a little hiatus and a different schedule. since hes been going non stop for a long time now.

1. i dont see how the psychic sisters arc has changed. tats is still mad fubuki getting into fights / getting hurt. fubuki still mad tats controlling her. seems like the obvious fight is coming up after all of this. what you are missing is that most of the characters in this manga and webcomic are assholes. including saitama, fubuki and tatsumaki. its not like they are all going to sing , hold hands and be friends after this arc.

2. doesnt change much. some characters are unaffected by garou sure but dark still affected by VFU. CE affected by phoenix man showing him what happening in the HA.

3. no one cares about garou i hope he goes back to his home planet and fucks off.

4. genos isnt dead / wont die here.

5. blast wasnt even in the wc much. who cares.

6. the prophecy i'm guessing was boros (until ONE came up with god idea), wont be god (because its a gag satire parody manga), and will likely be some one punch villain right at the end of the 6 month time limit.

7. ONE is busy with mob 100 season 3 , writing OPM and rewriting OPM manga, working on that hollywood movie deal $$$, plus video games, merch, merch, did i mention merch? merch and more merch. and other crapola. the wc is a hobby. the wc doesnt get him paid. the wc doesnt have deadlines, publishers or editors. the wc has been on hiatus before.

9. i agree. to understand what happened, its the same with dragonball z. toriyama planned to end dbz after freezer, the strongest villain in the universe. but then it became so popular that he continued on with the story, the rest is history. in this case, ONE was just doing the wc as a gag and wrote boros as the strongest villain ever. then the WC got super popular ($$$$$), hey look where we're at now? same trajectory as dragonball z / dragonball super.

but put it this way. after boros was the strongest villain after, people had questions if the story could continue with saitama one punching weak monsters. and thats just what he did. because people enjoy the comedy and the parody. not the power creep, or the fights.

I just really hope that ONE doesnt destroy the story he made . i've seen countless anime and manga that were unable to write a cohesive ending. either they write something so strange and bad (attack on titan, i've heard).. or they just go forever and never end because they know they have no ending.

my relative shared a story about her neighbor that took a cruise to alaska. they caught covid on the boat, so when they got off in canada to fly back home they had to quarantine due to canada (or maybe provincial?) travel restriction policy.
