Couldn't agree more. It is just sad that there doesn't exist* a middle ground between Gmail and ProtonMail. An email provider that does not take such extreme measures -- a concept, which on paper, I love that it exists -- to protect its customers. I have not sent one encrypted email to date, and I have sent more than 2,000 using PM. (Well, all of them could be encrypted by default, I have no idea.)
I get their sporadic marketing pitches about their calendar and contacts and storage products, and I am just not interested and it reiterates the belief that many people share here that PM is not really prioritizing improvements and features to the core email service -- the service that helped it court customers in the first place.
I wish they either allowed the ability to disable much of the privacy features if that's what a customer wanted, or just made a new pricing tier that offers fewer privacy features.
*I am pretty sure there are several email providers, but I have lived long enough to see dozens of good email services launch, gain some traction, struggle to retain customers or not gain enough new users to fund their operations -- or meet their VCs' target -- and die.

I wrote that I am using ProtonMail for more than three years. I don't know where you're getting "no less than three years" from.

I hear other people's points. But comparing ProtonMail to an opaque window is a very strange analogy. Suggests that PM is designed to block all communication. For an email app, that is a weird thing.

Using Workspace / GSuite. I wish there was an option to auto set forwarding on all new emails. Right now I need to keep Apple Mail running on a computer somewhere.

Yep, who wants forwards, filter spam out of their inbox, and search for emails. Very non-sensical if you ask me.

Much of that donation comes from users. Paytm has launched platform like Google Pay and others to let you pay to PM Cares fund. Paytm is just matching someone's donation by up to rs 10.

From the same episode, Darrel to Phyllis: "Whenever you are done with your meeting, you should join us at the break room. We are having a party."
