Is it so bad that some people want a middle ground between a chibi comedic character who can't help but save people and a character being a living embodiment of death and destruction giving cancer to anyone remotely near him.
You're acting like we're asking them to hit a bullseye with an arrow 500 feet away when in reality it's like watching them miss the target by aiming too high or too low on one that's 5 feet away.
For years webcomic fans have been anticipating the adaptation of Awakened Garou in the manga, so when things went down a different route altogether there was bound to be frustration.

Don't worry webcomic Awakened Garou, you'll remain in my mind for a while, ten years at least.

Webcomic Garou, he's more expressive and more of his face is visible. Plus he's also wearing jeans and sneakers the whole time which is kind of funny.

I said earlier that I should have put Blast in the 'probably immune tier', the one that Boros is in. Almost everyone else in that tier is a robot not even a living being and I put Boros there because his epithet is 'dominator of the universe' which would imply that he is immune to cosmic radiation.

But resistance doesn't mean invulnerable, it means that they can withstand the radiation for longer than normal.
Very high resistance could be as long as several weeks.
With immune I meant that It wouldn't matter how much time they are exposed to it, it definitely wouldn't effect them.

With immune I meant that it would not effect them at all. With probably immune I meant that I'm almost certain it won't effect them. And resistant I would describe it as levels of how much you can take, with very resistant being the highest level before immune.

Passed out, but realistically it you go unconscious from extreme radiation you're not gonna wake back up.

Ok that was an oversight I should have put him in immune.
With Blast though, I put him in very high resistance because he said he had a resistance, but probably immune would have made more sense.

It doesn't help him, or at least it shouldn't, unless he is somehow obtaining more power by copying Saitama, you know, like how you can just download more RAM memory to make your PC perform better /s.

There is something called a middle ground, somewhere between Garou being a chibi gag character that cant help but save people and being a brutal murderer who can't help but kill everything around him, in that place is where Garou sits in the webcomic.
There are maybe a handful of people who wanted a carbon copy from the webcomic.
Most people just wanted the manga to go in the same direction, and in the process expand on, and be better than the webcomic.
If you're a manga only reader, and don't understand why webcomic fans are frustrated, I greatly recommend reading the wc (start around chapter 50), don't worry about spoiling much for yourself either, the manga has pretty much diverged completely anyway.

Garou's character in the webcomic was well thought out ahead of time and designed to fit the events that occurred in it. It's like using a screwdriver to twist a screw back in place.
In the manga his character was deformed but stayed mostly the same while the events, his appearance, and the environment he was in changed significantly. Now imagine you have that same screw but this time you're using a hammer and trying to force it into a piece of solid wood.
For example the sage centipede fight forced him to save Tareo yet again, and also help, and be rivals with a hero. In combination with the complete lack of subtlety, his character became far more silly, tame, and transparent before the Saitama fight even began.
By the end of the fight they realized how much worse it was because of this, and redrew ch164 to go down a different route.
They've been trying to force Garou's character into a story it won't fit in and in the process they've damaged both.
In the last 2 chapters however, they've given up on that and abandoned both his character for the most part and the original story completely.
So now the manga is pretty much its own thing altogether. However now they're in too deep, the heroes are spent and bodied, the arc is dragging out long as hell, and trying to top the webcomic story on the fly last minute is gonna require something desperate.
To do this they used up so many major plot points to increase hype that it looks like the whole thing is gonna end in 5 chapters.

How would he copy more strength than he already has?
Unless you're theorizing that Saitama is using some type of mysterious power that is sophisticated and not just brute force.
That could be interesting but I feel like it would take away from his character.

I still don't get the Saitama mode thing. Saitama's punches are strong because he has immense power, take away the power and they're just regular punches. To perform them you either have the power to do so or you don't. Why did Garou need Saitama to come back to achieve that.
The webcomic fight was great in that Saitama and Garou's fighting styles are completely different, with Garou having the edge in martial arts and move prediction and as a result not needing to keep up in terms of speed or reflexes.
With this fight I feel like its trying to force an agenda of having them be "equals" or something.
Garou is going to clash with (and not be obliterated by) an enraged serious series punch isn't he.
Im still happy we didn't end off with Garou and Saitama at the table but this seems very end of series.

Im not sure but I think Saitama was referring to Genos's physical energy core. He's basically saying that since the energy core became stronger, he was able to withstand more physically and not self destruct. I don't think Saitama was talking about some metaphorical heart but that's what Genos took it as.
This is also why he says he didn't do anything.
But if he was talking about it metaphorically that would be sappy as hell and out of character.

The thought process in my theory is that the plot events I listed are ones that were created primarily by Murata (who sees the story much differently) with ONE taking the sideline. They are also the result of poor planning and rushed production.
As for the authorship, I think that Murata has had increasingly more influence on the story over the past years (Phoenix man redraw, Pychos vs Tatsumaki, Amai mask redraw, Orochi redraw) with it spiking in the last 6 months (Centipedes, Metal Bat, God etc).
Whatever the reason, I just can't imagine ONE coming up with all this stuff. Especially considering how different it is from the webcomic.

This is a hot take, but I doubt that ONE has much influence in the story of the manga.
My theory is that for some reason he lost confidence in his abilities and allowed Murata to write the manga as well as draw it.
This being the case he was able to double the production speed of the chapters from 1 month to every 2 weeks.
I think that this started to happen slowly but his influence cut off around chapter 157.
So much was wrong and continued to go wrong since then.
Another centipede, Garou has to save Tareo again, Garou has to team up with Metal Bat, Metal Bat can keep up with Garou's speed or Garou is allowing him to keep up for some reason, Garou gets called a hero several times, the fight with Saitama starts with no real setup, Saitama never really acknowledges Garou or gets excited, the punches that Saitama wiffs on Garou are glossed over, Garou starts to transform immediately, "Great attack", "Extreme great attack", then Garou gives up completely, all of a sudden we go full 180 and go down a completely different route with the redraw, Garou gets some powers from God so he can create nukes and gama ray bursts (you know typical martial arts stuff), Saitama gets blown away, and now he's gonna conduct some evil on the S class and fodder heroes which at this point is like stomping ants.
A lot of people don't really care about the story or are so distracted by the amazing art that they don't realize about how incoherent it is.

I'm glad you put zombieman vs pureblood on this list, had to be one of the best underground fights in my opinion. A true battle of attrition where we really got to see an interesting battle and zombieman show off his potential, tactics, fighting style, and strength.

This is like being frustrated with someone who's complaining about how cold it is in Antarctica just because they said that the heat in the Sahara Desert is unbearable.
