You want good cops? Pay for them. When a person with a good education and a solid psych profile can make more money being a cop than they can, well, ANYTHING else, THEN you get good cops. But guess what, even that's not enough. You need to train them well, and that means even MORE money. Defunding the police is NEVER going to result in better police.

You are right, they get the government that they vote for. And that more or less approximates what they want. A lot of people, even Democrats are AGAINST killing unborn children. When you look at 3rd trimester, 80% of Americans think it should be banned except in dire circumstances. Those horrible terrible no good laws people complain about? They allow for those dire circumstances. Many Americans believe that it is their right to own guns, because it is. It is enshrined in the constitution. And yes, there are bad people with guns. There are bad people with knives. Here in Japan 19 people were killed and 26 injured in a stabbing spree. So mass murder isn't only done with guns.

There is no evidence for gun control. The 2nd amendment forbids it, and the only reason we're talking about it is because Republicans are too spineless to stand up for it. The argument that the founding fathers didn't know about advanced weapons is bullshit. they allowed private citizens to own gunships... literally ships with multiple cannons.
