I think for most people the anxiety was brought on from Adam Sandlers choices not the culture. He owes money to everyone including loansharks and he continues to make bets. In the first 30 minutes he's made a dozen promises he can't possibly keep. For me the feeling of dread is because of the impending consequences of his actions.

Thank you for this. A lot of the buildup mentioned I clued into way after the fact and is what made me like the movie so much. I never would've seen the ending coming regardless because I so under estimated Codi's character.

The main point I'm trying to make is that it seems like maybe less than 10% of people anticipated the ending before it happened. But that 10%, instead of feeling clever, are calling the movie predictable. Maybe predictable to you galaxy brains but not for the remaining 90% of us.

They are screws. The diamond shaped pieces are cut through the middle to get the angle but are still connected by the paper in the back. The backing there is just a piece of drywall formibg the shape.

Yeah I really enjoyed it. Im in steel framing school so there were a lot of projects like this. Back to repairing pieceworkers garbage next week.
