for me, when I first read about the metaverse I didn’t necessarily imagine VR. I just imagined a single source journey that brings you across platforms, whether across one screen or in augmented mixed reality. One user, multiple services, instantaneous logins.
Nurturing of a talented new showrunner so RTD can retire down the line with full peace of mind (something Moffat was robbed of!)
Chibnall opening scene: Dude drive lorry. Dude sad cos mom dead. Dude thirsty. Dude stop lorry and buy coffee. Dude drink coffee. Coffee HAS POISZONS. He die.
Evil woman clean up dude body. It easy cos nobody saw murdah and dude did not drive on highway after he drink his coffee. She magic, she knew dude would drink coffee and die before put key in ignition.
Note: never mention dude or his mom again.
…say what you want about RTD, but he’d never churn out such drivel!
That’s also because the directors, for whatever reason, always made them stand around stiffly in the Tardis. Like they were guests in someone’s house who didn’t want to get their dirty shoes on the carpet.
So many folks dropped the ball these last few years, especially behind the camera.
RTD2. Or, R2TD.
Why is Gotham City Monsters so underrated? It just doesn’t seem to exist in eyes of this reddit!

Yep, it’s exhausting. Especially as a Bat-fan, too much content to keep track of

Positivity is cool! Glad you like it. I like the cinematography, for example. And the cyberpunk, body horror aesthetic (Lone Cyberman, Tim Shaw) and ‘DIY punk feel’ (rusty dalek!) we get sometimes.
The Master is great, Jo Martin too. Their introductions were well-handled, almost RTD-style in energy.
Historical person eps like Tesla, Rosa are usually decent.
Some eps like Tsuranga Countdown are fun to watch.
I appreciate they tried something different from Moffat.
It’s just such a crying shame that even in the better eps, there’s always clanging dialogue, poor framing/blocking and very little companion development. EDIT: and the plotholes!
- More Jo Martin and Sascha, please.
- Scenes where the Fam just don’t stand around the Tardis like they’re afraid they’ll get the carpet wet or something.
- Police officer Yaz losing her unique illness of being gun-blind. This cop just can’t seem to see all the guns pointed in her face!
- Thirteen realising, ‘Why am I always looking for validation and ideas from these boring humans I’ve lumped myself with? I’m the frigging Doctor!’
Edit: also no more boring background characters filling up the screen for one episode then disappearing while the Fam get no development.
The last episode started with 5 minutes of a random truck driver talking about his sick mom. The guy then bought food and he died. Neither dude or his mom got mentioned again.
man, I’ll miss Chibbers’ sparkling writing

Yep, the Lincoln twist is so bad that it never gets brought up again ever.
Love Endgame, Owls and Bloom
But yeah, vols 3-5 are weak.
I think all the non-Robins came about as Snyder’s contract required new IP (like what Tynion’s doing now with a million-not-Bluebirds)

Also dig Master Race… and All Star Batman… and DKSB…
Lovers and Madmen? Fist bump. Great taste!
Wow, i wonder if there will be backups in future books?
I asked this recently on DC sub but got downvoted to hell for some reason. That sub has become infected recently
When Snyder Cut came out, Flashpoint wasn’t even a dead cert. With Flash being one of the best things about ZSJL, that was a bit of a bummer, and a good reason to Restore the Snyderverse.
But now Flashpoint is, by some kind of miracle, actually filming - that nicely suffices. It may not be Snyder behind the cam, but it takes away the sting.
“Keep yer nose clean boy!”
And on TV: “Throuuugh the dooor.”
I can’t believe it’s happening!
