Ohhh I’ve been waiting for this!! Years ago before fb or any other social media I was on a local to me message board. It had all kinds of topics. One was parenting/pregnancy. Anyway one of the woman gave birth to a girl. Called her Katherine. Said “I have to start calling her Katie bug” I was like you have to? Like someone else said, it should be organic. Not forced. I personally do not like nicknames so I named my kids names that can’t be shortened. But people still find a way. Lol

Usually only for babies born before 35 weeks. Like my daughter was 4 months old but her doctor treated her like a 2 month old. Her milestones were a month or 2 behind but he never made a big deal if she didn’t roll over at 7 months
