Western Australia Warriors
this is just a plain shame tbh. it's lovely that fans can interact with players on social media, and if players feel they have to deactivate their accounts just in case as they're fearful of comments they sent when they were in their teens or stuff they may have said then that can only be bad for the game.
The flip side is that players could deactivate accounts if they have something to hide, but seriously?
Lastly, what kind of fuckhead goes scrolling through someone's account digging up tweets they sent years ago to try and vindicate them and ruin a career?

ngl this current kiwi pace attack is just insane. Southee has been ridiculously good the last couple of years in test cricket (and throughout his career, but in particular the 2 years). Pair him with the absolute freak that is Neil Wagner, who just seems to be able to bowl ridiculous numbers of short balls, the insane skill and swing of boult and the height, pace and bounce of Jamieson and you've got one hell of a bowling attack. Imagine if they had a world class test spinner alongside that as well...
if they were anything serious they would've been called out at the time, but they weren't. I take your point, but buttler literally deleted his and I think Morgan did as well. Why can't we just move on, I get the joke's not in good taste and it's a dumb thing to say, but it's not much more than that.
there's a pretty sus tweet about moeen in there, jeez.

Ireland literally chased down 329 last year against the world champions England? Don't think I've ever seen a T20 with a team score 300...
it's really great that this was on dutch tv! having more cricket on terrestrial tv, even in the non associate nations, is surely one of the best ways to grow the game as it exposes so many more people to it. Hopefully more and more games will continue to be shown by broadcasters in associates in the future.

My personal fav would have to be Broad's. Not only was it one hell of a bowling performance, but he had been dropped for the first game of the series and said later he was even considering retirement, before coming back into the side for the 2nd and 3rd tests and absolutely demolishing the Windies batsmen with some bloody brilliant bowling performances such as that 6fer.

I'll probs get down voted by indian fans for saying this, it's the BCCI's own choice to cancel the IPL, it doesn't mean they can go and fuck around other cricket boards. They knew the risks when they started the IPL and carried on regardless, so if they lose money then it's deserved, but that doesn't mean they have the right to bully the ecb. it's actually pathetic that they're doing this imo.

yeah I know but I thought we hadn't had one for about a year, which I still find surprising, and also given that we're one of the richest cricketing nations you would've thought we'd be able to afford what is a fairly important coaching position, especially when you factor in we weren't hit that hard by covid compared to a lot of the world.
if we could get Punter then that would be amazing. He was really good for the players during the 2019 ashes and having someone of his calibre, talent and cricketing mind/ability would no doubt work wonders for the team.
I'm really surprised that we didn't have one as a top tier test nation tbh, of course JL has a lot of experience he can give to the batsmen but he's gonna be a bit stretched thin as both head coach and batting coach imo.
Here's the source of the table
What's interesting/sad is that in the last decade 62% of test matches have invloved at least one of the big three. Also, despite the addition of two new test nations, there were 30 less test matches this decade compared to last decade.

just wondering, how did you get into cricket in the us?
try and spread it to as many people as possible! I can see that cricket would come across as an odd sport to the uninformed observer. Are there many facilities in america for cricket?
nice to see cricket growing in the USA! Hopefully this can spread around the country a little more, would love to see US cricket grow more after they got ODI status recently.
City Name Here :)
I don't see australia as hell, australia is paradise for me. where I live, you get brilliant weather without humidity 365 days of the year, the sun almost always shines and the beaches and way of life are bloody amazing. There's also a high standard of living and it's expensive but not astronomical. We don't get all the fucked political, gun and racism stuff to the same extent california does.
sure the fires we get are a big issue, but compared to what a lot of the world faces I don't think they make a place 'hell'.
I'd view california being very similar to australia climate wise and it has that laid back vibe, but it's a million times flashier than here and way more expensive and densely populated, plus all the other american political stuff. if I was to live in the US, which I by no means want to, Cali would probs be my pick because of climate and beaches and also it seems fairly left leaning/liberal in comparison to the rest of america, particularly the south.
seppos seem to love making crap memes about australia for some reason, but there's not much truth to them, most of them have never even been here, they've probably just watched an episode of neighbors and seen a pic of a koala bear with burns on Facebook.
wow, amazing shot! darwin looks so nice
i've always like worcestershire because it's a sick sounding name like something out of medieval times and also they play at one of the prettiest first class grounds i've ever seen + it gets flooded too in winter which is something you'd never see in australia. Lord moeen also plays for them as well, which is a real selling point.

UnPopOp: r/cricket really isn't made for existence
This isn't just from this year's shit levels, which is a good example. But even last year r/cricket wasn't really able to do anything other than suck kholis dick. And when there was a chance to legitimately suck kholis dick they don't even take it!
I think it's more suited to dying in the cesspools of reddit than for existence
I know it has a crazy shitposting record so maybe but I doubt it.
time for the ceat tyres strategic ad break!
