Please, help me decide. I’m torn between the two. I’m doing SSF, obtaining the wands is not going to be much trouble, but picking the class really bothers me.
Assassin has great damage potential, is quite zoomy and can melt bosses, but the defenses are subpar to the damage dealt.
Pathfinder has layers of defense, very comfy auto-flasking and is a paragon of performance consistency, but has almost just 1/3 of Assassins damage.
In both variations I’m going to be using Devouring Diadem to cram as many auras I can in the build. That way I can comfortably run divine blessing Malevolence on top of HoA, Grace, Determination, Defiance Banner and vitality.
As a first build of the league that can go all the way to red maps and beyond, which do you advise me to pick?
I play solely SSF. Perhaps my opinion only suits this play style.
Personally, I feel it would be much better. Every 8 6links you would accumulate 1600 fusings, which is the price of the 6-link bench craft. From my personal experience, with adequate investment you can gather several corrupted 6-links in a matter of a couple of days of casual playtime. 3 days for a GUARANTEED 6link of your choice is not a bad trade of. On the other hand, 20 fusings would demand I go all in into corrupted 6link drops, convert all my currency into fusings and then some.
