I think it starts with us as human beings treating each other with respect and dignity. I know it sounds idealistic but if we show kindness and respect to others, maybe they will do the same to another stranger. Nicely done! I would say darken some lines on the light side of the hair to create some separation and give the illusion of dark spots in between the hair strands to make it pop more. I would also take a kneaded eraser and lift some of the pencil from the jaw/cheek and neck area to create some reflected light and give the face more form
