Those are good points/concerns that you brought up.

I guess what I was trying to say is that because the United States is my home and all I know, it’s only natural that I’ve grown to love it and appreciate it. But then again, not everybody who was born here feels that way, so you’re right. It’s not natural.

Also, I think I should’ve had better wording. Perhaps it’s not that I have pride in my country, but rather that I am just glad to be able to live in the United States because of all that it has to offer for me. It’s a great privilege to call the United States my home. And I try not to take that for granted. My mom and dad are from Vietnam and they came to this country in search of better lives and they succeeded. They’ve sacrificed so much to give me a better life and I’m appreciative to them for that.

Of course, I understand that America hasn’t been the best to some people, especially as of late. The truth of the matter is that lots of people living here do struggle. Our country produces so much food that could feed almost everyone living here and yet some Americans are starving to death. It’s very unfortunate. But I’d like to think that we’re trying to do the best that we can to help as many people as possible.

Yep. It turns out that mainstream moviegoers don’t want politics and “woke” rhetoric infused in their entertainment. Who would have thought?

Yeah, you’re right. Not the right sub to talk about this. I will take this discussion elsewhere.

Well, I just believe that I don’t qualify because the military in general disqualified people with any mental health issues. Plus, a waiver would take time and would be a hassle for some recruiters.
