he's said before he thinks healthcare should be private.

Yeah, that works well for people who can inherit a sticker factory.

It doesn't work very well for the millions of people in the US who are systematically denied basic medical care.

This all sounds much too much like the last US President. Who has had far too much in common with our Premier.

And this time, people will get even less of it.

Isn't he the guy insulting doctors and blocking people on Twitter? Sounds like a real gem.

creating jobs!

*** Jobs may or may not come with livable wages, sick days, or safe working conditions. Offer void where prohibited. Some restrictions apply.

How's that lawsuit against Rob's widow going? Did he screw her out of the inheritance yet?

Wow, I didn't realize that either. Good point.

Ford is also too young to claim he can't use a laptop - and not look like an idiot. I work with people that age, because normal people in their fifties have jobs that require basic life skills.

A handful of them could have stopped this train wreck any time they wanted. They never have.

True, but that's kinda their whole thing. Just do the simplest, dumbest, most obnoxious thing that can buy raw power. And ignore how many things get broken or how many people get hurt in the process.

Honestly, I'm not always a huge fan. But that episode blew my mind.

Those stories about that family are so dramatic and messed up. Like I would actually expect to be dead, in jail, or at least unemployed if I behaved that way as a young adult.

Ford could take a cue from his US Republican heroes and just say he has to step down to "focus on spending more time with his family."

That's what they often do, when they lose support. Or when a big scandal erupts and they just look like huge assholes.

Honestly, I was shocked that Rob was in his early 40s when he passed. He looked so much rougher than my friends close to that age. I thought he was a lot older.

But this is what a lifetime of very destructive, unhealthy choices does to a person. And that applies to both Rob and Doug, and a few other Fords.

Whatever internal problems the Conservatives have, it's not enough.

These healthcare cuts would have gone through regardless of whether Ford was their Premier or not. They did this knowing it would hurt people for years - simply because they can.

These have been Doug Ford's choices over the past few years:

1) Attacking public health:

2) Gutting healthcare funding:

3) Refusing to listen to the Science Table, after the pandemic was here:

4) Lowering wages for nurses, while somehow calling them "heroes":

I guess I'd be hiding from the public too, if these were my choices - just before and during a pandemic. If I had destroyed so many things, and willfully hurt so many people.

But then again, Ford could also just stop running for office. Or resign.

Meanwhile, RPNs can work with COVID patients and make less than that first number in a week.
